A painting of Aberporth in West Wales, the view that looks back across the beach from the north east. I used a panoramic shaped canvas for this painting, to capture the beach and the bay in a wide angled format, thus allowing me to include the far headland in it's entirety. Aberporth was one of the main centres of the herring fishing industry in Wales. Drifting and netting were both employed and at one time and at least 20 full time herring smacks went to sea out of Aberporth regularly.
